Neurofibromatosis
The plain radiographs show a short-segment mid-dorsal scoliosis and kyphosis. Note the ribbon-like, twisted ribs on the right, a result of neurofibromatous involvement of the intercostal spaces. The vertebrae are rotated as well.
The MRI shows abnormal neurofibromatous soft tissue in the right paravertebral region, extending from D2 to D8, extending into the intercostal spaces and into the intervertebral foramina.
