1. Cardiothoracic Imaging and Research Fellowship  Download Brochure

Information: The Cardiothoracic Imaging Unit (CIU) of Narayana Health (NH) City, Bangalore are proud to announce a 12 month Cardiothoracic Imaging and Research Fellowship (CIRF) in collaboration with the European Society of Cardiology.

The CIU is part of the department of radiology and is equipped with a dedicated 128 slice CT scanner. The unit also has a 64 slice CT and two 1.5 Tesla MR systems. The unit is led by Dr. Vimal Raj and is staffed with other consultants and junior staff from the department of radiology.

The CIRF is a 12 month post under the direct supervision of Dr. Vimal Raj. The fellow will be trained in accordance with the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) imaging. On successful complettion of the fellowship, he or she will be eligible to apply for level III certification from the ESC for CMR. The post will start from the month of May 2016 following a open application process and competitive selection. 

A suitable candidate will have appropriate post graduate degree in the field of radiology. Masters or DNB is preferred. Post qualification experience in radiology is not a pre-requisite. People with a vision to sub specialise in the field of cardiac imaging and keen academic and research interest will be preferred.

2. M/S German Remedies Travelling Fellowship in Radiology & Imaging (Five)

Rs 8000 cash award for furthering one's knowledge by visiting an academic centre of his/her choice in India.

Qualifications : Post-graduate qualification in radiology
Member of IRIA
Less than 35 years of age for the year in question
Given by : Indian College of Radiology & Imaging (ICRI)
Further information :Applications (usually six copies) to be sent by September 30th of the previous year to the Chairman of the ICRI for that year

 

3. Dr. P K Haldar Memorial Traveling Fellowship in Radiation Oncology (One)

Rs 8000 cash award for furthering one's knowledge by visiting an academic centre of his/her choice in India.

Qualifications :1. Post-graduate qualification in radiology, radiotherapy, radiation oncology
2. Member of IRIA
3. Less than 35 years of age for the year in question
Given by : Indian College of Radiology & Imaging (ICRI)

4. REF Scholar

Trip to the ECR for the first prize winner and to the IRIA national conference for the second prize winner.

TRAINING COURSES

1. Radiological Institute for Technical Assistance (RITA)
Continuing the schedule of workshops with RITA  (Radiological Institute for Technical Assistance).
We are in process of announcing practical exam oriented courses on DNB/ MD students with 1st workshop on Chest and CVS on 13,14,15 August, 2016. We plan to take all 8 systems required for exam. Every 3 months we will take up 2 systems and complete the whole course in one year. The course aims at providing best teaching for DNB/ MD students for practical examination and preparation.
The workshop will include sessions of cases, spotters, viva and presentation by eminent Radiologists and examiners of DNB.
Detailed brochures will be uploaded very soon.
Enrolment will start after brochure will be uploaded. Limited seats will be available to give one to one attention to candidates.

3. Short Term Ultrasound Fellowships of Indian College of Medical Ultrasound (ICMU) in association with Thomas Jefferson Research & Education Institute (JUREI).

Multiple basic and advanced fellowships are available for Rs 10,000 and Rsd 15,000 for two weeks at multiple accredited centres in India.
